I work as a full time employee for a telecommunications firm here. I got my first H1B stamping from the Toronto consulate in 2002 which of course expired last month. I hold the H1-B extension (I-797 form) for another 3 years and need to get my visa renewed.
My question is -- do I have to go back to India to get the new visa (in light of the biometric requirements and cancellation of revalidation of visas at St. Louis) or could I go to Toronto again to get it stamped and get my biometric requirements done there.
Has anyone been to the Border Post consulates (Canada or Mexico) to get restamped since June, 2004? If yes, please throw some light on what they have asked for documentation or anything.
