Has any of you guys been renewing the EAD?

I understand this document is no longer needed by asylees.

Can anyone relate me to the place where it might be stated in writing to keep with my records?

I send my EAD App. last month-- and went to FP

I send my EAD for Renew end of last months our Local (NYC) office. 2 weeks later i got Letter from MO to do my Finger print and Pic at our local Application Support Center (ASC). So i called there 1-800 number and set up appointment next day i went there they took my fingerprint (One finger) and take Immigration Pic--and officer told me they will send my EAD in 2 months by Mail---Although Asylee don't need EAD but i always like to get that.
For your Information the new fee is for EAD now $175.00 :(

I still prefer the old method for applying i.e. to mail everything to Nebraska. This way you do not have to take time off work to go to the Application Support Center...
 
my opinion is that this is waist of money. almost $200 for the document you don't need ... I haven't renewed mine for the last 3 years :rolleyes:
