renewal of B2

Hello,

My mom and dads b2 visa( 10 year ) is expiring in mid february. We heard from someone that its better to apply for renewal before the visa expires as it sort of ensures renewal.
but one the website it says, though unclearly, that we have to wait for the visa to expire.
please guide me. Your help will be appreciated.

Nothing ensures renewal of an applicant's B-2 visa. I would advise your parents to apply for fresh visas as soon as their current visas expire. Good luck.
