renewal EAD - biometrics again? Walkin in Atlanta?

Got a notice of receipt for my renewal EAD (paper filed). Despite having sent the pictures, I was invited to get the biometrics done again. It's not the fingerprinting that expires every 15 months.

I just did biometrics - 10 months ago.

Did everybody have to take the biometrics again for the renewal EAD?

There are no appointments in the nearest future in Atlanta, of course. Did anybody do a walk-in there? On the phone they said - no walk-ins.
 
Don't even try in ATL. It,s just horrible. They are close because they are moving at the beginning of Aug and the ASC blocked all the dates for NO appointments. I never heard in other threads about biometrics again, just heard about FP. weird. Probably somebody have been in the same situation as you, have you check out in the FP threads?
When you call again and if you have time to travel to AL, TN, NC or SC and need the biometric done quickly you can make appt outside the state.

By the way LucyMO since you are in ATL, I was checking the processing times for I-485 and it shows Aug,2003!! that means that the people who have date on June this year will have to wait more than a year?

Could you please tell me what kind of documents you needed to add for renewal of EAD and where did you send your documents and form? Is it Chicago lock box?

ATL ASC you never knows

Hey LucyMO, guess what?
the ASC ATL is open now to all kind of appointments, what a freaks, after last week it was still blocked out. So now they have ALL booked until Sept. This is crazy. I will call tomorrow morning. I have been trying yesterday and today...I am tired as the song says.

And you know what, I don't care if they say that they don't accept walk-ins..try and I will try too since next week, anyway the last thing they can tell me is NO right?
