renew visa

hi...can someone tell me how do i go about renewing my visa....my visa expired in june 2005 and my I20 is valid till 2009.
I have to visit australia in december. Will i have to go to india first and get my visa renewed or is there a way i can get my visa renewed from U.S or australia?

not from US, but you can do it in a third country. Contact US embassy in AU.
