Renew TN quarantine questions

TN expires in Dec coming. Need to travel to YYZ to renew. Will I need to quarantine in Toronto for 2 weeks, or can I stay overnight in an airport hotel and fly straight back to FLL. Anyone here have experience with this in the last 30 days since Canada issued mandatory 14 day quarantine?
 
You will need to quarantine for the time you are in Canada, be it 2 hours or two weeks. So you will get to Canada, go to your place of self-isolation, then return to airport when leaving, and get TN at airport. Nothing in the process has changed since covid rules were established.

Nelsona, thank you very much for the answer. Is a hotel at the airport satisfactory for this? I'm planning on only staying the one night to satisfy the "meaningful departure" and come straight back to work after TN process at yyz.
 
It should. There is no doctrine of "meaningful departure" when you are in status. You could return to US on the next flight out if you wish.
