Renew Indian PP at San Franciso - Questions - Help!

Hi all,
    Aplogoze for posting this here. I know this is not the forum to post this. But since there must be at least a handful of ppl who have done this before here, its the most likely place that I will get an answer.

    My passport is expiring soon. I would like to get it renewed at the Indian consulate in San Francisco. Will I get it the same day if I give it in the morning? Any experiences/ tips on parking, what time to get there etc might be useful since I will be driving from Sacramento.

I think they take more than 1 day to give pp back. One thing u can do, u can submit and ask them to mail ( or fedex - as expected u will need to take of fedex/overnight mail charge urself) pp to you in sacramento.
 
Check for Visa Camp

almost once a month they come to L.A on a Visa camp. If you passport has not been 10 years since isssue then it just takes a day to get it extended. if u need a new passport then it is a whole new procedure
