Hello,

I want to renew EAD (CSC) by myself, but my company's lawyer told me that my I140 approval notice is the company's property so they cannot release a copy to me. From the forum, it looks like I140 approval notice is required for renewing EAD (sb got RFE from CSC to ask for it), do I have to use my company's lawyer to renew EAD? They charge $500 lawyer fee for this.

Any suggestion?

Thanks!

You have to pay some money to get original I140...
I140 is not a required doc for EAD. Sometimes on the confusion about concurrent processing SCs ask for I140 approval. Your previous EAD is enough evidence for you to get the new EAD.
If you get a RFE, you can always demand the I140 from your lawyer then...

Thanks, jaxen.

How can I pay some money to get a copy of I140? Is it normal to buy it back from employer?
