I was wondering what the white paper that immigration gives you is called when you are inspected at the port of entry? It has a date stamped on it and an expiration date also stamped on it. Also, is it possible to renew this document? I married someone with this document but it is expired. She needs it to be current so she can get a drivers license.
 
If the original poster is a USC or LPR, and he has now married the person with the expired I-94, then he can file for AOS, and she can stay here legally whilst this is being processed
