Removal Proceedings Impact on Green Card Application for Parents. HELP!

Hi Everybody! This is my First post on this forum. Here is my case:

My parents applied for asylum several years back (2007 ish) they got denied and several court appeals later, we filed a motion to reconsider which also got denied. They seem to be in Removal proceedings now and haven't got the deportation letter yet (or will they?).

I am applying for Naturalization in a couple months, Hopefully becoming a citizen. Is it possible for them to get a green card through me,via immediate relative of US Citizen? I have heard they could be barred from adjustment benefits if they are in removal proceedings. Please help me as I have lost my sleep in the nights.

They cannot file for adjustment of status while in removal proceedings, but it's possible to convince a judge to cancel the removal proceedings and allow the adjustment of status application.

Did they enter the US legally? If not, they won't be eligible for adjustment of status as Immediate Relatives.
