Ive done tremendous research on this issue of removing the conditions from the conditional green card if you get a divorce before the GC expires. Anyways, Ive never seen or heard of an actual case that was approved under this situation. Recently I visited a lawyer who stated that it is Impossible to do and is just a waste of money and a way to prolong your stay. Lawyers that state that they can do it are just trying to get money of people who are confused. Anyways, I just wanted to see if anyone has any input into this situation or whether you have actually known someone who has been approved under this. Thanks for the info in advance.

It is possible to get the conditions removed... How hard depends on the situation. Basically, they want to see that the marriage was originally entered into in good faith, with the intent to live as husband and wife, and not for immigration benefits.
Look for an immigration lawyer who handles abuse cases... Although your case might not include any abuse, those lawyers are the most experienced on removing conditions if a joint petition is not filed.

who removed his or her condition (I-751) after divorce??
i have same issue as JJBBKK has here, I actually talked to different lawyer in my cities, only one of them told me it is impossible to remove condition by yourself after you divorce with your us citizen husband, but all others gave me positive information as once you can provide to INS that your marriage is based on good faith then it should be proved, but again it is really hard for you to figure out who you should believe as this is big decision to make(divorce)
so does any one know who successfully removed condition by himself or herself after divorce (but not becuase of abuse)??????????
