Maybe I am over-reacting, but the longer this drags on, the more I fear that our applications will be even more delayed. As happy as I am about the recent approvals, it's really depressing to then rush to check on my own status, and still see the same old RFE Received message.

My EAD runs out in early May. I guess I should just apply for the renewal, instead of hoping for a miracle.

I have noticed that people that are going for 3rd FP have had great success with approval coming very soon after. A lot of people have received 3rd FP notice and had approval before the scheduled date for FP. Hopefully this means good things for your case.

I could be wearing a pair of beer-goggles, but I've noticed a lot
of approvals for 12/2001 RFE and non-RFE cases during the
past 2 weeks (beginning of this year). The same probably
holds true for 11/2001 cases, but I'm just following 12/2001
for obvious reasons.
 
Are u kidding, there are OCT-01 filers like me, who are still waiting with nothing and on top of that you get 3 FP notice which freaks you a lot, but most of the time, 3 FP are not even taken at most of the centers, so there is no approval after 3rd FP theory as it is outrightly rejected as mistake....

On top of that I have EAD/AP pending for 4 months, when is this torture going to stop.

I have given all hope and then you hear this general temp permit to millions and probably I am rightfuly freaked out to imagine what will that do.

I am just puzzled what the hell they are doing these days they are not even processing EAD/AP application on time what else can you expect?

I guess here it is easier to come illegally than to burst your balls to come legally.
 
Hang on guys. Most of the approvals this week are for 2001 filers. This makes me believe that atlast BCIS is doing one thing correctly (probably first time in the last 2 yrs). They seem to be concentrating on backlog cases (2001 cases) now. I think that all of you (2001 filers) will be approved this month.

Has anybody else here noticed that their online status message
has changed recently? Mine now says:

"On September 12, 2003, the results of your fingerprint review for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were received, and processing has resumed on your case. "

In other words, it was updated 4 months after the actual fingerprinting.

They are trying to avoid us by saying, please contact after 30/60 days if your case is not approved.....

Just got off the phone after talking to an IIO (level II support). He said that my 485 is still in process and that my file was last updated on Jan 14, 2004. I don't know what that means. May be they updated it because of my EAD or AP application. Has anyone heard that info before?

I'm going to wait till Jan end and contact the congresswoman again. BCIS said wait for 60 days when her rep. requested a status on our behalf. Jan end is end of 60 days...
