Relationship betwen FP, I485 and PD Retrogress

After the PD retrogressed; my attorney called me and told that my case will be on hold/pending and will not be touched until my PD becomes current and will not even receive the FP until then.

But Surprisingly I received the FP notice Y'day... now my attorney says that FP is nothing to do with the PD retrogression as its a automated process and you will still not be approved until you PD becomes current.

Could you please provide your feedbacks and thoughts whats right and the relationship between FP, I485 and PD Retrogress.

Retrogression

There is a lot of discussion on how and if retrogression is going to affect us. You are one among us. Hang in there for a few days until 15th Jan. Things would be much clear then. You can check many thread here by that time and you will have better understanding about this whole thing.
