relationship between EAD approval and I485

Just curious, is there any relationship between EAD and I 485. I received my 2nd FP one month after my EAD application (June 6) and I believe that my application of EAD may have triggered that. Now my EAD got approved, I am wondering what is going to happen next (My I485 ND was 10/2002).
I am seriously considering to apply for an AP if I do not hear anything after a month, hope that they will touch my file when they see my AP application. Any input please?

Here is my 2 cents. Never ever stop applying for AP/EAD thinking that your I-485 will get approved soon if you really need them (EAD/AP). You can't predict anything until you get the approval in hand. I am suprised to see that online I-485 approval message got changed to RFE few days later.

You have every reasons to predict that your I-485 will get approved soon considering your notice date, and the pattern you have noticed (EAD trigger I-485 to touch). However, my friend you never know what actually gonna happen.

Always prepare for the worst and hope and pray for the best. This way you won't be frustrated with this procedure (sailing for I-485 approval)

Any correlation between EAD and 485 has to be spurious. But no harm trying anything to get things moving. Just as kicking the car has helped some get their stalled car started.......
