Relation Between Post Fp Online Message And Name Check

I AM WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY RELATIONSHIP AT ALL BETWEEN THE FOLLOWING MESSAGE AND SOMEONE STUCK IN A NAME CHECK, I.E., IF YOUR CASE IS STUCK IN A NAME CHECK WOULD YOU GET AN ONLINE MESSAGE SUCH AS -

"On XXXXXX, the fingerprints for your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status were collected and are pending review".

MINE HAS BEEN LIKE THAT SINCE THE SUMMER OF 2004 WHEN I DID MY FP. RD FOR 485 IS MAY 2004.

I LOOK FORWARD TO ALL THE EXPERTS' COMMENTS. THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR YOUR RESPONSES.

I still have mine that way. Per USCIS cs, the database sometimes might not update the message. he said everying looks fine when I called USCIS about it sometime in Jan 05. I also got reply from fbi that my name check was completed in a few days of my FP. So, IMO it is nothing to worry about..
 
I think Name check and FP are not related to each other because in my case my Name check was cleared on 31st July 2003 where as i did my First FP in April 2004. So i definitely dont see how FP and name check process are related to each other .These are 2 different process and not interdependent.

Thanks for your post.

I see that you have 3 APS and 3 EADs and also have a valid H1. IN my case also I have a valid H1 (upto Sep. 2006), which I am using to work for my employer (University). I applied for AP and EAD when I filed for I-485 (RD MAY 2005). My first EAD (never used) and AP (never used) expired last week. My question is do I have to apply for a second EAD; and if I dont apply for second EAD am I working unauthorized? I do not care for AP as I do not intend to travel overseas. Excuse me if it is a stupid question. Please note that since I came to the US I have been with the same employer and intend to work for many years to come.

No u neednot apply for EAD or AP as long as u have valid H1 and u r working on it . Infact i've also never used my EAD or AP . But i keep renewing them ...just in case if something unexpected happen .Infact it advised that as long as possible one should try to maintain one's H1 status till the GC is approved , because just in case for some reason GC is rejected one is still in status because of H1.

In your case u can keep working on H1 .. and before Sep 2006 when H1 expires u can apply for H1 extension depending on no of yrs u have left on H1 and by that time if u reached 6 yrs on H1 then u can keep getting yearly H1 extension as long as u want/till u get your GC .

You are fine , working legally and in good position since u have kept your H1 status .
