stop yapping. you and your bunch of gulti\'s and chennaites do not have the spunk to do what it takes to challange the DOS with their policy at Chennai. Moreover, take a moment to think about it.

With the amount of fraud that you and your ikes have attempted at Channai is it any wonder that they refuse to accomodate you at your whims and fancies ? For god\'s sake, for once in your miserable desparate existance, walk the (straight)walk and talk the talk.

mind your language

First of all I am not a gulti. I have some facts. If your interested don\'t reply in a rough tone.
Couple of lawyers have agreed that my facts are correct. If you read the imminfo.com , the lawyers answers then you would understand why I posted.

Paper work sent back from Chennai consulate

Hi All,
I am new to this newsgroup.

I filed my I-824 in November 2001 . I am in TSC jurisdiction. In Feb 2002 my lawyers prepared my papers and sent it to Chennai consulate. My paper work was promplty returned back by the Chennai consulate. This is all i know. The lawyers tell me that nothing can be done. I noticed that somebody earlier in this thread mentioned information in www.imminfo.com . where in that web-site should i look for more information. any additional news regarding processing through TSC would also be helpful.

thanks

Yes, you please contact krishnap

He is trying to contact the local congresswoman and state dept regarding the Chennai inaction on this. WHile Chennai deny AC140 then they have to notify state dept to let the case assign to antoher consualte. Please search for AC140 chennai messages else where in this web site. You can contact him also for making a forum in this matter. Good Luck. Some thing can be done if every one comes together.

Hello srirag

I am in the situation now . I think contacting the local congressman would help provided your employer gives some letter. May be we can combine later if things don\'t work with the help of congressman.

What kind of letter do we need form the employer. The lawyers have been pretty reluctant to do anything other than watch and wait approach.

Since we know that Bombay consulate accepts AC-140 can we mail our papers to them .

thanks

aahh.. i\'m back after being unable to post here for a while. I stand by what I said to begin with.. And krishna, stop being sooo desperate. Even Ron has started to ignore your posts on his site.

Grow up !

Stop your nonsense - don\'t post anonymous postings

You said gulties and chennaites doesn\'t have spunk to challenge the DOS on Chennai policy. Now you are saying to stop him what ever he is trying to reverse the policy. What a double speak. I think you have to understand your self whether you are a matured person or not. To just discourage some one and that too with bias ...that speaks for it self.

Switching to a different consulate

Do you know if we can transfer to a different consulate like maybe mumbai where they accept AC-140.

You can go to mumbai provided

If you have done any type of visa ,you are lucky to apply in Mumbai. If not , the approach would be contact the congress man . I don\'t how far I would be successful in that approach. I feel it is worth a try.

It might be possible logally

1. You have any visas from Mumbai consualte
2. If you take up this matter with state dept and request them to assign your case to any other consulate because chennai based on work load not able to accept. This might work if you have letter from chennai consualte that because of work load they can\'t accept your case. You also might want to talk to local congreeman or senators.

I have had F-1 and H-1 visas all from chennai consulate. Does that mean in can apply to mumbai now.
My friends case is slightly different but he is writing to the local congressman to find out why his 485 paperwork hasn\'t moved in 2-1/2 years. In that case the congressman could call the Regional INS to find out , if my friend gets lucky.
I don\'t know what the congressman can do with the consulates. If it would do any good i guess i will give it a shot.

you might want to find out how \'krishnap\' handling his case

I would say yes some thing will work out, either you are contacting directly the state dept OR the via congressman or senator.

1. It was mentioned in one of the state dept memo (you can find that in www.imminfo.com or www.immihelp.com) if any consulate can\'t accept AC140 cases based on the work load then they should immediately notify the same state dept. If the consualte fails to notify then thats the problem and who ever has interest in this has to take up the matter and talk to state dept. If the consulate informs the state dept then the state dept. will assign the case to another consulate.

So what chennai is doing is it is not informing the state dept of its inability, that\'s where congressman/sentor comes to the picture. If they put some pressure then state dept. might look into this.

If you directly contact state dept, then if you have that letter from Chennai, then you will be able to explain to them and will be able to pursuade them to assign your case to another consulate.

Good Luck.
