registering to vote before having the actual certificate

sent out my n600 in july registered to vote in nov interview is in jan problem? since i can use parents papers to get a passport dont think this is bad. as soon as one of my parent's naturalises i can register to vote correct? (meeting all other requirements obviously).

For the interview i need "Documentation supporting physical custody to the USC parent. Eg. School transcripts, medical bill etc. I can get middle school/hs transcripts but my mother is listed there and im applying with my dad's certificate (both of them naturalised). I think i sent out my permit and his driver's license to prove that we live together is that enuff? the schools are pretty far away.
 
Life is complex, isn't it? I would say if you're a citizen this shouldn't be a problem. However, if the N600 is denied you could be in legal limbo. Anyway, I think (I'm not sure) that registering to vote and voting are actually quite different things. I am not sure if registering to vote without being a citizen is a crime, but voting without being a citizen is a serious one. As it looks and depending on the primaries in your State you might have the certificate before the election. Anyway, have you got a U.S. passport? It isn't clear from your post. If you got a passport I would think you are fine. You don't give much information on your post so I cannot say whether I think you're a citizen through the Child Citizenship Act or not, but you seem to think you are and you probably are.

I am not sure about the documents you need, but it might be good to take your mothers certificate of naturalization and any other documents that could show either physical custody of your father or your mother. Medical bills should be a good indication, do you have any dental or medical invoices, letters from medical insurance company, things like that? The driver license you mention can be good too, but I am not sure.
 
im an undocumented citizen (lol?) i was 17 when my parents naturalised and met all of the requirements (living in their custody etc) registered becuase the primary is almost here. dont have the passport will apply after i have the certificate.
 
I am pretty sure you're fine. I assume you had a Green Card at the time your parents naturalized. That's crucial in order to have derived automatic citizenship.
I am not expert on the documentary evidence of physical custody for N600 interview, but I would go for what the letter says and any document that shows your address as the same as your father's address. I don't think you're going to have much of an issue. Is your father going to go with you to the interview?
 
Certainly a tricky problem. My personal take is that you are pushing the boundaries a little since you don't yet have either a US passport or a Cert of Citizenship. Technically however, if you met the requirements of CCA2000, you became a USC the moment one of your parents got their USC, so theoretically you are ok registering now.
 
boatbod has summed it up nicely, and that's why I asked if you at least had a passport. I suggested that your father goes with you to the interview in case he can answer questions about physical custody before you turned 18. Remember all conditions: being a permanent resident, having a U.S. citizen parent, being under 18 and under physical custody of the U.S. citizen parent have to be met concurrently. I don't have a doubt from what you have written that you met all the conditions. However, as it is implied in boatbod's reply it would be good to have the backing of an independent government agency (like the passport agency) that you are indeed a citizen. I think you'll be fine, but if you have some time come back and update this thread in the future when you pass the N600 interview it's always good to have closure on these things for whomever might have a similar question in the future.

You requested Huracan and you got it here I am. Went through the interview. The voting issue did not come up, i know that for N400's they ask if you ever claimed to be a USC I didn't know if the same procedure is done when it coems to N-600 so the answer is no. My experience however is a totally different story. I'll create another thread to share my experiences.
