Regarding the Tax Returns

Hi guys,


I have only 2001 and 2002 tax returns because i came to us
in Dec 2000. But for cp interview they are asking last three years
tax returns......... Is last two years tax returns are sufficient?
help me in this......

You are fine with the 2 year returns that you have.

Only those candidates who have filed for 3 years or more, that
are expected to carry the last 3 years returns.

Also to add to Raju's point, you may want to call 800-829-1040 IRS and request Tax TRanscripts for last 2 years in your case (normally 3 years). Place this request at least 30 days prior to flying to India for yoru consular interview. It takes about 10-14 days for you to get the transcript from the time you place the request over the phone!

Tax transcript is nothing but a computerized printout of your tax returns that is maintained by IRS. This is free of cost!
