Regarding reviewing others work

Hello Everyone

I am a new postdoc in a medical school and thinking about applying for EB1A. Graduated from a US med school in 2010. I have about 4-5 publications (in journal's with imp. fac. 7, 12 etc). and about 30 citations. my lawyer says that I can apply provided I have something to show that I have reviewed some journal articles. So, I recently contacted several journals in my field and here is the present status:

A. one of the journals send me a paper immediately and I reviewed.
B. 3 more journal editors emailed me back saying that they have included me as their reviewer and have noted my field of interest and will contact in future.

now, my 3 questions:
1. is it ok to show those emails saying that i have been included as a journal reviewer, instead of showing emails asking to review a specific paper (because its not known when they may send me a paper)?

2. how many such reviews of papers have to be shown?

3. does the impact factor matter in case of paper review too?

please let me know the above three.. thanks a lot !!

1- The answer to that depends on the officer reviewing your application. Many officers are very well trained and will know the difference between "being put on a reviewer's list" and actually reviewing papers. Other officers may consider the fact that you're a designated reviewer as sufficient evidence. So you can include the evidence if you wish, but you have to make sure you word the description properly.

2- Again, depends on the officer. I only showed evidence that I'd reviewed 2-3 papers I think, but mine was EB2-NIW. Your case might have higher expectations.

3- Not too much of a disadvantage if it's a low IF (the fact that you've judged papers is more important than their IF), but can be used to brag if the IFs are high.
