Regarding problem in H1B petition!!

Hello,

I changed the company recently and got the H1 transferred. I had my previous H1 from 2003 March. But i was in India for 2 with previous company yrs. But the new petition with new company doesn't mention that in new petition. I got the new petition in Aug 2006 end. Pls suggest what should i do? Can i still correct my new petition or those 2 yrs are gone.

I would be very greatful for advice.

I got my H1-B approved last November and I am planning to get it stamped in Canada in January.

Also my passport expires in June 19,2007. is it true that I need to get the stamp 6 months before the passport expires? I have appointment on January 18, 2007 . Am I ok?
It also says in the documantation package that in order to be eligable for visa your passport must be valid for at least 6 month past the intended stay in the United States. What does this mean ? That passport must be valid for at least 3,5 years to get the visa for 3 years?
