Regarding Birth certificate......Please reply.........

I filed 485 in Oct\'00.I am from small village in India.
In my birth cerificate the Grampanchayat "stmap" and "signature" are not in English.
One of my friend was telling in birth cerificate everything should be in English.
Could this be a problem ? Does INS raise REF for this?

get a english translation of the certificate.
You lawyer should be able to find the translater

If the birth certificate text is in english, you will not have any problems. If only the stamp (seal) and the signature are in a different language, the INS will not create any problems. The idea is to read the document and make sense out of it. So as stated earlier, if the text portion of the ceritficate is in english, you dont have to worry.

I also had signatures in Tamil. It did not create any problems. (Mine was approved on May 22nd).
Text was in English.
