Regarding a spouse's entitlement for visa

At the moment I am not married, but I will be in several months (that's just a formality anyway). If I am selected for a visa in DV-2015 AND if I get married BEFORE May 1st, 2015 (which is the date when you can check your entry status), will my spouse be entitled to apply for a visa too (as a derivative dependent?)?

Yes.

Your spouse would be entitled even if you were to get married AFTER May 1st but before the interview. Heck, she would be entitled to a visa even if married after the interview and before you enter the US, but that's a whole nother can of worm which you wouldn't want to explore.
