Regarding 485

Hi

I filed my I-485 recently on 10/17/2002. I see the processing has been slowed down drastically. can anyone please tell me approximately how much time I should wait to see my approval.

My H1-B visa is getting expired on 01/01/2003. I have sent my application for renewal as I have 2 more years left. I want to know whether my GC processing continues? will have I have a valid stay in the US till that time?. approximately how long it takes for the H1-B renewal to be approved ?.

485 approval

right now few people who applied their 485 on Oct'01 are still waiting and it might take another 1 yr for your case to get approved!
Since your are in AOS, your stay in US is valid only.
H1 ext will take a month or two to get approved and in mean while your GC processing will also continue.

INS CSC processing times

According to the latest JIT report, CSC processing times are reasonable (when compared to the other service centers).
CSC is currently processing I-485 Employment-Based they received on 11/19/01 .
