Dear experts:
I helped a friend of mine to apply for a visa for his 8 years old son. We all are from Uruguay (SouthAmerica), living in this country.
My friend has a valid ESTA authorization as she also has a valid italian passport (dual citizenship). Her son also has an italian passport but it is expired, so he applied for a B1/B2 visa with his uruguayan passport as it was faster than renewing the italian passport.
The child qualified for a visa interview waiver, and we sent all required paperwork to the embassy.
15 days after we sent the documents, the status of the visa is "Refused". The mother did not receive any additional information about the refusal.
As far as I know, there isn't any red flag, and they are planning a Walt Disney World visit in late january.
Any ideas?
Thank you very much.
