My buddy is waiting for his GC. He is a political asylee from Africa. He needs to go pick up his son over there (he will not go back to his own country) and would like to transit through France. Guess what...since 3 months, France does not recognize the refugee passport (the pale blue one) when the words "refugee/asylee" are written in it. If you don;t have a resident card, forget it, no visa to go to France. Since he does not have a valid passport of his own country, he has to choose another route to get there. Is this new to anybody? thanks for your input.
