I received an REF for my H1B transfer and here is my situation.
CIS is asking to prove 1. If a BA Degree is required for this job. 2. Percentage of time spent on each job duties. 3. Whether Position was advertised on a newspaper or internet. 4. What kind of Degrees people in the similar position have in the company.
I hold a BA in Financial Economics from a US University and have a 1 year work experience in the similar poistion. The Position that I applied for was advertised both on the internet and Washington Post. Other people in the similar position (about 30) in this 1500+ employees company all have BA Degree. My concern is: I read over the Job Description for my job and it requires 2 years relevant experience and for Education requirement, it states ' BA in business related field or Accounting, Finance and Business Administration required or equivalent combination of education and work expereince'.
My question is, I know Financial Economics counts for Business ( of course) but will CIS will have an issue if the original job description stated BA required in Business or equlivant combination of exp. and education? Although, the company has never hired anyone in this position who doesn't have a Bachelors in Business.
My attorney is really good and claims he has all the sufficient evidence but I am scared CIS might say Bachelors is not necessarily required for this position just because the job description has an 'or' in the education requirement.
Anyone with similar experience? Suggestions? Experts PLEASE HELP.
