REF issue, help please!

Hi folks,

Just checked the INS message. It said : "the REF is received, the case takes about 365-540 to process. Since the preliminary work, now it takes 180 days." But I have been waiting for about 540 days already.How come another 180 days? Is it normal? The REF is just Employment reconfirmation.
My impression is only 2-3 weeks for other people.
My info:
EB2, China
PD: 12/97, RD : 10/99, FP: 03/08/01, REF required: 03/29/01, REF received
04/26/01.

REF refers to additional information or evidence, right?

I\'d wait for 2-3 weeks after receipt date and call Vermont again. But just hang on. There have been so many RFE\'s issued recently that you\'ll see more messages about the progress on RFE\'s in this forum soon.

Well, RFE for all of us actually means RECURSIVE FRUSTRATING ENQUIRY *smile*

The message is common.. you probabaly will get your approval after 2 weeks of response (that if everything is OK).

Frank sailing the same boat. I kind of agree with Bhanu... hope it is true ...
AVM says it is taking 180 to process such cases, can you shed some light on this. Chandra 123 or anyone have any tips or advice for me.
