reentry questions..please advise

I got my green card in may 2005, I want to go back to India in december and the same time I want to retain the status to get eligibility for Citizenship.
If I take 2 years reentry and comes back to US
1.Do I loose the 6 months stay before reentry?
2.How long I need to stay after reentry ( I believe it's 30 months)?
3.How long the naturalization process will take for getting citizen ship?
4.Can I go back to India after applying for citizen ship? Want to come back for interview..etc.
5.What precautions I need to take for safe reentry and eligibility before and after leaving?

please advise.
