I am sure this is posted somewhere. Can somebody give me the info or point me to the right place for info about how to apply for a reentry permit and how long does it take to get one?

1 you need to fill form I-131, 2 photographs (passport style) read the instruction with form I-131 and download from USCIS site
2 you need to send the Reentry application to Nebraska it may take 4-8 months, you need to apply for it BEFORE you go out of US you can provide the address of US consulate and can pick up the Reentry permit from Consulate (NSC will send it to consulate)
3-reentry permit is valid for 2 years from the date of approval; you need to be back BEFORE the reentry permit expires
