Hi,

I send my Reentry permit application form more than 15 days back. I received an email
12 days back saying that they have accepted my application form and I will receive the
receipt notice by mail. The email also had the Receipt number.

I havent received the receipt notice till now. I am feeling stressed. I need to get my biometrics done and go back for medical treatment of my mother.

I have submitted the AR-11 electronically 1 week before sending REP application form.

What should I do if I don't receive the receipt notice?

I called USCIS they told me to wait for 1 month. But that will be too late.

If I don't receive the receipt notice in another 1 week or so should I take an Infopass
appointment?

Also is there some way I can know that biometrics appointment date has been fixed checking the status in USCIS check my case status?

Why is 1 month too late for the receipt? You don't need the receipt to travel.

But you need the biometrics notice to get that done. You can leave the US and then return for the biometrics appointment.

Jack,

Thanks a lot for the info.

I am concerned about not receiving Receipt notice since I am not sure if it is because of postal problem or due to
some problem in USCIS.

If there some way by which I can know when the post the biometrics notice by checking my case status?

If for some reason I don't receive the biometrics notice can I fix an infopass appointment and get the biometrics done.

I want to finish my biometrics and then go with peace. I need to be there for my mother's treatment and therefore it may not be possible to once again come back for biometrics so it is important I get the biometrics done and then go.

I am thinking of writing a letter to USCIS to notify me by email regarding my biometrics appointment. Since I didn't receive
my receipt notice I have totally lost confidence in USPS postal delivery.

My question is if I send such a letter will it complicate things and un necessarily complicate my case or in worst case postpone or delay my biometrics?

If that is the case will it be a better idea to take an Infopass appointment.

You got an email saying the receipt will be issued and sent in the mail; it didn't say it was already mailed to you. So USPS is not necessarily the reason for the delay.

I have submitted the AR-11 electronically 1 week before sending REP application form.
I presume your current address was listed on the Reentry Permit application?

Anyway, if you don't get the rcpt by the end of this week, make an Infopass appointment.

Jack,

Thanks a lot for your reply and help. Yes I have mentioned my current address in Reentry permit application. As you recommended I will wait for a week and then make an Infopass appointment.
