My mother has an 10yrs multi entry tourist visa which is valid till Oct 2012.
She came to US on Dec 29 2010 and the officer at POE gave her a hard time saying that she is coming here regularly and staying for 6 months, which is not true. She has stayed only 2 or 3 times for a max of 5.5 months and has never extended her stay. Most of the times she returns back in 2-3 months and she has visited US around 5-6 times in the last 10 years. But in the end he did give her 6 months on her I-94.
I have booked an Alaska cruise for her and my family which begins on July 9th from Vancouver, canada and returns back to anchorage, USA.
My mom is traveling back to India on March 29th and is planning to come back in the 1st or 2nd week of June, so that she can join us on the cruise.
Should she expect more questions when she comes back at POE, as she is returning back just after 2 months of her last exit from US?
Will it help her if she can provide the confirmed Cruise and flight tickets (related to cruise) to officer at POE? Should I also include an affidavit of support mentioning that I will pay all costs on behalf of her?
I just got time till next week to confirm/cancel my cruise booking, so would really appreciate all the help and suggestions I can get for my above questions.
