Reenteing USA from Niagara Falls,Canada - I94 valid but no original I94,I539 filed

My mom is on B2 Visitor Visa in US. She has a 10 years multiple entry
visa. I applied for her I-539 Extension of stay application and sent
original I-94 to California Service Center with extension of stay application.
I have copies of her I-94. Her I-94 is still valid. We are planning to go
for a road trip to Niagara Falls, Canada. Is it going to be a problem to
re-enter USA ? If the immigration officer ask for original I-94, can we just
show the copy of I-94 and the receipt of I-539 Extension of Stay
application ? I-94 is still valid, but we sent the original one to CSC.
Please let us know your opinion.

can you let us know what you finally did. I am also in a similar situation and wanted to find out if you had any problem re-entering with copy of I-94 and the receipt of I-539 Extension of Stay application

Please let me know what you did in my case I am planning the following ; I am also debating applying for I-539 )
Hi,

My parents are here on B2 visa. POE officer gave I94 for 3 months only. Can they visit Canada for a month (30 days +) and return to US and get a new I94. They plan to go via Air to Toronto and we heard that we can submit the I94 at US Airport and they will get new I94 at Toronto US Immigration.

They have a 10yr multi entry B2 visa ; they also have 3 year multi entry Canda visa.

Please let me know if somebody has a similar experience at the Toronto Preclearance POE. [Note: We need new I-94 for 2 more months only ==> total stay in N.America = 6 months ; Initial 3 months US + 1 Month Canada + 2 months in US ] so we need the I94 for the 2 months only.

Plan is to send them by Air on last day of current I-94 ; and they would give the Airlines the I-94 , stay in Canada for 31 days ; then fly back to US.
