I went for H1b stamping to Kolkata, but was redirected to Chennai consulate because I had a French dependent visa issued from Bombay and not Kolkata. I was not carryig any address proof except experince letters from a company located in Kolkata. So they concluded that I should to chennai becasue my passport was issued in AP.
My interview in Kolkata was first week of 2005
They didn't say anything about the documents shown during the interview. so my understanding is that adress proof was the only thing missing.
Now i am going to France on my long stay visa and have taken appointment for interview at US consulate in Paris for Jan 2006 end.
What kind of problems/questions could i expect in Paris?
How should I justify my taking appointment at Paris instead of at chennai?
Any suggestions are appreciated.
