Recommendation for Approval

I have completed my interview today.

It was very smooth. The officer made a couple of changes on my application (I had to sign a form acknowledging this).

He said it all looked well. I passed my US history test and English literacy test.

At the end I received the N652 Naturalization Interview Results form, with the following selected:

1. You passed the test of English and US history

2. USCIS will send you a written decision about your application

3. A) Congratulations! Your application has been recommended for approval. At this time it appears that you have established your eligibility for naturalization. If final approval is granted, you will be notified when and where to report for the Oath ceremony.

The office said I should receive a notice in the mail about the Oath date and place.

My question is: why no immediate approval?

Thanks.

Last minute checks, but that shows you have pretty much been approved. I just needs to be signed from the superiors I believe to make it official. Just wait for the oath letter to come in the mail now...
