recommeded approval to final approval

Hi all

Currently how long does it take from recommended approval to final approval? In some treads in this forum, people say that it is taken from one month to several months. I understand that it is taking time for background check. Can we check anywhere (office or phone) the status of the background check? As you know that sometimes the case is stuck in the pile of cases unless you follow up.

Is final approval given out by asylum office or other immigration office? What I try to find out is that- if it is the asylum office, can we go to the office and make an inquiry or request for final approval.

Any suggestion is highly welcome.

It varies from person to person. There is no good predictor.

If a reasonable period of time has passed, you are well advised to contact the asylum office.
