Recent DUI and political asylum consequence

i got first offense DUI in 2007. the sentence is 3 year informal or court probation, paid my fine . I am interested to apply for political asylum.
So Does my DUI case make me inelligible? Can i apply now ?

Presumably, since you are applying for asylum, you don't yet have your GC. That puts you in the wrong forum... we mainly deal with N-400 citizenship questions here.

If my recollection is correct, DUI has a bigger impact on citizenship eligibility than it does on LPR, so you _may_ be ok. Probably best to consult a lawyer though.

thanx for you reply. i hope i will be fine to apply for Green Card (GC) with one dui crime. i am under probation now for 3 years ( which will end up in 2009)
