I am INS : interview completed successfully 1/9/2002. Passport stamped. Free at last...to safely leave my body-shop employer!
the deferral to interview in my case was totally unwarranted as the interview proved it.
I am still too upset to get this off my mind but I have only one advice to all of you waiting for an interview : IT IS A JOKE.

The AVM has changed for my case but for my wife\'s case it still plays the old message "On december 29...."

I received my courtesy copy of I-485 approval for myself and my family. INS office SFO was given as venue for stamping.

Questions: Do I have to wait for Original copy from Attorney or can I go to INS with courtesy copy I recd?
Even for SFO office, do I have to go early in the morning at 2am and be in bee line?
Can I switch my venue and go to SJose instead?
Are kids also required to come for the stamping process?
I heard it is a 5-6 hr process - Is it true?

Hi All,

Finally, the wait is over. Heard the automated message "this case has been
approved on Jan 15th".

I haven\'t been too active on the board, but it\'s been a terrific source
of patience and inspiration, thanks to all the regular participants and
others who kept posting their details.

This does show that INS is processing cases and I\'m sure many of the April
filers, who\'ve waited for so long, will be getting their approvals this
week. All the best.

And all the best to the rest of the folks too. May your approvals come thru
real soon.

I\'ll let you all know once I get the notice in mail.
BTW, can anybody point to info for the PP stamping. What all would I need
for the stamping?
