Hello all,

By God\'s grace, after a long wait of three years, INS felt the pity and approved our cases(No regrets). The timeline for reference.

PD:03/99 EB3(INDIA)
Labor(RIR) approved:05/99
I-140 Applied June \'99
I-140 Approved Jan \'01 (This was the killer, 19 painstaking months)

The turning point in my case(and maybe a lot of EB3 cases) was the passage of AC-21 in Oct \'2000 and after this my priority date becoming current was becoming a reality.

Even though we are yet to receive the approval notices by mail, I wanted to share this information to cheer up the hopefuls here. RFE Waiters(especially Tamizhan, ScorpionRaj and the rest) also cheer up, there are clear indications that INS is picking up momentum. Non-RFE Waiters, my take here is that RFE\'s are picked on a few random cases(We submitted only Indian notary signed Affidavit from one of our parent and did not provide any non-availability certificate regarding birth)

This has been an incredible forum and is a great example of selfless information sharing and moral support among the fellow waiters/knowledge seekers trying to make sense of the INS processing times. GC Hopefuls, CHEER UP, going forward, looks like CSC is at least trying to target the six months processing times for I-485(having read here about some rare Sep \'RD and Oct \'RD appr. YOUR MOMENT IS NEARLY THERE. Keep praying to GOD.

I checked my AVM this morning and it says the case was approved on Mar\'11.
My AVM changed from \'Dec 6 pending review\' to \'Approved\'.

Long time reader, first time poster (probably only time!)
AVM updated 3/5. Wife and I got stamped Monday, San Jose office.
Officer created a hassle because my picture was more than 30 days old.
So I had to go out and get another set of pictures.
Was allowed back in with special note from officer.
After that no problem. Officer my wife went to accepted 9 month old pictures.
Hey what can you say ?! :)

Well my case detail is as follows, I am not on the list
RD 7/2/02
ND 8/24/02 WAC-01-266-xx
AP 9/01
EAD 11/01
FP scheduled 2/8/02 done 1/17/02, AVM 1/19/02 resumed
One of my coworker has everything 2 weeks later than me, except get approved 2/28/01
Any way I will not complain, just want to know if this is regular. I know there are a lot of guys have earlier RD/ND and have not been approved yet.

Oh man, its finally approved. I got the approval notice in the mail today. The AVM changed today to "approved and mailed". Until now it said pending review. Good luck to every else waiting for an approval in this list.

PCee, you have done a phenomenal job with the tracking list and the site. Your site brought me a sense of hope and confidence, every day that I was waiting. Please be proud of the time and effort that you put in maintaining the tracking list. If not for your site, I would have been totally lost and blind to the dates and the INS timeframe. I hope future 485 applicants would have a site like this. I pray for other "long waiters" to get their approvals the soonest....

Please... please ... read and advice me. i am in great need....

My I-485 is approved as per AVM (the message is changed today evening only)
and on 03/12/02 approval notice is mailed as per AVM.

I have not received my approval notice courtesy copy (and my lawer also
not recieved) by mail and i am traveling to India tomorrow night by
singapore airlines.

could you gurus please advice me whether i need to postpone my trip
which costs me alot and disturb all my plans or i can go ahead and travel
to india tomorrow.

My lawyer is advising me to postpone my trip as my AP is invalid once GC
is got approved.

My question is: since i have not received my approval notice in Mail, as
far as i am concerned my status is I-485 pending and i can travel to
India (let us assume that i have not check AVM).
As I donot have valid H1 stamp i have to use AP
Is there any problem while re-entering US using AP.

I-485 application for both I and my wife got approved as per AVM when I checked last night. Now I am waiting for the approval letter
Shall update as and when I move forward on this

Here is another view of total approvals vs pending cases in those ranges...

wac 240-249 ..... (Approved) 07 - (Pending) 10 - (RecentlyApproved) 02
wac 250-259 ..... (Approved) 09 - (Pending) 16 - (RecentlyApproved) 05
wac 260-269 ..... (Approved) 36 - (Pending) 53 - (RecentlyApproved) 17
wac 270-272 ..... (Approved) 01 - (Pending) 12 - (RecentlyApproved) 01
(counted only upto 272 because after that Sept ND starts, and no pink records)

Yes, we have data for only 17 records for 240-249 range and 25 in 250-259 range but where as for 260-269 we have 89 records! I think w.r.t. Aug ND month approvals are equally distributed and not going with 10 WAC#s at a time!
