Guys, yesterday was the day for me. I heard on the AVM that our cases were approved on Feb 20th and Approval Notices were mailed. What a relief ..

              labor sert.start 08/06/1996
              get labor sert.07/1999.
             i-140 ND 08/30/1999 AND APPROOVED 08/22/2000.
             i-485 nd11/06/2000 ,FP 02/18/2001 FOR wife+ 1CHILD(AGE UNDER21),FP for me 03/17/.2001+2 child(age under14 ?)
             refuse take FP for child under age14 (3 MONTH UNTIL 14) .(correct by law).
            since fp i waite until 11/2001 and send letter to B.BOXER,BECOUSE avm not change(999 days)and 1 child was close to age .21.make lot of calls to CSC,to B.BOXER office.no movement.laywer sent lot of faxes,letters.just silent.
           11/00/2001 sent e-maile to B.BOXER.
           01/03/2002 AVM change to RFE: W-2 FOR 2000,2001,TAX return for 2000,2001,3 recent paystubs,employment letter.
          02/04/2002 REPLY RFE. AVM UPDATED 02/11/2002.
         02/20/2002 OPEN MAILE ,GAT FP NOTICE FOR 2 CHILD ,HER AGE NOW ALMOST 15.
         02/21/2002 OPEN MAILE ,GAT 3 APPROOVALS, EXEPT SECOND CHILD.
         AVM STILL NOT CHANGED.

Heard from avm, approval notice was mailed on Feb. 20 (I am not in US now, so haven\'t received any real approval notice)
No "pending review"
1/19/02, FP received and processsing resumed.

I am not on any list, but have been using this forum for all the really useful information here.
here are my details.
Priority date - July 2000
Receipt Date for I485 - Apr 30, 2001
Notice date for I485 - July 9th, 2001
Advance parole received on July 21st, 2001
EAD approved on Dec 12th 2001
AVM updated to "On dec 29th the results of your fingerprint...."
Spoke to I.I.O. on Feb 11th, who said the case had not yet been assigned but I could send an inquiry. Accordingly advised my lawyers to do the same. The enquiry was faxed on Feb 12th.
Spoke to IIO yesterday, and found out the case was approved on Feb 19th. The AVM also reflects the approval.
Will wait for the approval notice.
Thanks to everyone who contributes to this site and makes it a great way to share info, moral support etc. All the best to everyone who is waiting.
Looks like for April mailers, sending an inquiry may help a lot.

Hi,

We received our approaval notice today. It\'s a great pleasure for us. Our case detail is:

RD:5/14,
ND:7/13,WAC-01-233-5XXXX
EB1, China
AP:8/1, but lossed in mail due to address change
EAD:11/8
FP:10/23 (schedule 11/6)
AVM: 11/9, FP results collected
     12/29, FP redumed
     2/20, case approaval

Other details: I call IIO 2/11 and was told FP check is complete on 1/5 but the case is not assigned yet. I call IIO again on 2/20 and was told that case is assigned to an officer. And then I heard the approval message that day!

We are so happy now and we got a lot of help from this website such as making early FP and how to make a call to IIO. Thank every one\'s help, especially Ciba and Pcgee. I plan to go to Santa Ana for passport stamping although it is stated LA in the notice. I remember there wass a post last week regarding santa ana passport stamping experience. Could any one tell me how to find that post?

    Don\'t believe IIO. I called once on Feb 12 and she said that still my reports are not received from FBI. On Feb 21 when a talked to a different IIO she said
    the 1/1/01 cases are in process now, and my case takes atleast another 5-6 months.

    A question to Gurus here: I\'m changing the job from 1st of March using 180 days rule to the similar position. Does it matter if I change now as

Can we touch the magical #121 before Sunday midnight?

# 121 will be Double Century of approvals on rsrgc2000\'s summary since Jan 2002.
We have had 35 working days in this year for INs considering 2 holidays and 1 computers down day.
That is good going 200/35 = 5.71 approvals per day or 28.55 approvals per week on this forum.

I guess the actual figures for CSc must be 10 times of that. ( 57 approvals per day or 285 approvals per week)

Not bad . considering what we had in the month of November/December 2001.

The guess per the statistics from this forum is quite close.
Per the GAO report CSC (in fiscal year 2000) received 26,850 applications for I-485, completed 15,895 applications, backlog was 21,940 applications.
Considering 250 working days in a year, the figure for adjudicated I-485 applications per day for fiscal year 2000 came out 63.58

I am not on Ciba or PCee\'s list. But I would like to
throw my 2 cents base on some info from my friends:
1) Two of my friends (May cases, I don\'t have their info)
got approved this month.
2) One of them told me the day he went to stamp, the
San Jose office had very few people. He was supprised
how come so few people went that day.
3) One other friend (Appril case) got approved and stamped
three months back. He was laidoff but passed 180 days.
Luckly he did not get the inverview.
4) One other friend in Cisco has got his labor, but was
rejected when applied for the I-140. The reason was \'Cisco
has laid off so many people, there is no reason to hire foreigners\'.
This might be the reason why Cisco stopped applying GC for people now.
5) Fewer new grads are able to get offers now, that means fewer cases
go into INS.
6) Fewer companies are willing to hire H1 now, that also means fewer
cases go into INS.
7) INS has increased the fee lately, that means they shall show us
some better performance.
Given all these, I think they will start approving cases within 6 month.
