Recent approval trends in NSC

Of late we have seen several EB2 cases.. and too few EB3 cases being approved at NSC.. I used to think that the EB classification does not play a role in the adjudications of 485s... Recent approval trend data makes me wonder if that thinking needs to change... is it just me or everyone ..

Thoughts??

How about nationality, is it a factor as well?

I-140 AD 12/23/2001
I-485 RD 01/24/2002
FP1 03/23/2002
FP2 11/01/2003
3 EAD (don't have the dates) approved
No RFE
Tracker messages last updated 01/21/2003 regarding the FP1
No messages changes regarding FP2
No notification that case was transferred to local office

2 of my team members with Aug 02 ND, got approval yesterday. No RFE, had second FP. EB3 cases.

It does appear random ... but if you look closely at the randomness.. it does appear that the approvals from the later months.. (Oct/Nov etc) have more EB2 filers than EB3.. while the earlier months (Jul/Aug and earlier), have more EB3 filers than EB2...

just as I posted this... I noticed that dolly075 an EB3 filer from Oct 2002.. has been approved... there goes my logic through the window.. :)

Parshu .. you and I have the same date for FP2..
.. My ND is however 11/02... I hope it is FP2.. that way we both can get our approvals around the same time :)

Cheers

May your words and our hopes come true...

Good luck.. Parshu

Yes I think so too, that FP2 & RD/ND combination plays key role abt processing.

My RD: 9/18/02 & FP2: 6/18/04

we are hoping to get approved in 1-2 week

approval trend

I think so. FP2 plays a role here. If your local INS office does not have dates for FP, your FP notice is delayed there by causing delays in approval too..

I am a july 2002 filer. Got FP2 notice in april for may. Finished FP2 in may and got an RFE at the end of june. Replied RFE this week and waiting for approval.. I am EB2. Where as my friend from remote east coast with similar dates in EB2 got his FP much earlier and approval much earlier

So it certainly looks like INS wants to speed up things and they are working on a larger range of dates unlike before. Based on the current trend, they are actively working on May2002 to Dec 2002 filers..

GOOD LUCK TO ALL...

what is LUD? How to get emails

What is LUD? How do you guys know that it is getting updated everyday before approval. Does the status message change?

Also, how to recieve emails from INS when status change?
