Receiving Greencard Faster because of Marriage?

Hi,

I got my F11 greencard on 10/02/10 through my US American mom. I believe the waiting time for citizenship is 5 or 6 years, which would be another 2-3 years, am I correct?

However, I got married on 10/10/10 and this might qualify me to receive citizenship later this year because the waiting time is only 3 years then?

if your spouse was a U.S. citizen the whole time after you were married, then yes, you can apply for naturalization this year
 
When should I apply? We were married on October 10, 2010. And yes she is a US-born American. Thank you very much for your advice.
