Got the green card yesterday and it turned out to be white.

AD 8/19
Passport stamped 8/28
Cards Ordered 9/19
Cards Received 9/24

Based on the dates you've given, does it usually take 3weeks to get card? I'm also waiting for the plastic card. thanks.

I got my stamping done on 8/30. Just yesterday, the AVM changed to "card ordered". So in short there is no exact time frame. Just an approximation of 3-4 weeks.
 
My stamping is done on 09/19/2002. Card is not ordered yet.

wait continues, but with much less anxiety.

Most people get it in 3-5 weeks. But a friend of mine who stamped his passport 1 week before me has not got it. I suggest wait for 2 months and then call IIO
 
How do we know the cards are ordered.

How do we check if the cards have been ordered. I know a friend who's message on the AVM using the same EAC number did not change but he has already received the cards. Do you have to use the same EAC numebr of your application
 
yes u use the same number

But unfortunately the INS sometimes does not update messages use the website its easier. Somebody posted the URL on this board
