Received second FP notice.

Today in the mail. Scheduled for 10/14/03. What a timing... Just today morning my wife went out of the country for a two months trip. She may have to prepone her return journey to make it here for FP date.

Do you guys think its ok to wait for a month beyond scheduled date and go to ASC? If we delay our FP by 2-4 weeks would it delay our apporval too? What is the observed timeframe for approval after second FP? Anyone with similar experience? Please suggest.

Just get it done with at the original date mentioned. you never know how much it may be delayed later. I am kicking myself in the butt every single day for filing 485 when i could have gone ahead with CP. at that time the wait was less than an yr. Now you know how much it is:mad:

I AM JUST CURIOUS TO KNOW...HOW LONG DID IT TAKE FROM 1ST TO 2ND FP DATES?MY CASE IS SIMILAR.
485 RD=2/15/02 - TRANSFER DATE=1/6/03 TO NY LOCAL OFFICE
I HAD MY 1ST FP 17 MONTHS AGO.
 
vidchin, what triggred your 2nd FP, also where is your ASC. For me it is over 17 months from 1st FP, heard nothing so far.

Being here, I guess you can't resist doing early FP2 isnt?
If you are the primary applicant, go ahead and do your FP2 early and your wife can do it once she comes back[apply for postponement]. But if you feel a months vacation would do,she can prepone her trip and do it on 10/14/03.

Thanks for your advice. I will probably just do it on the schduled date. My wife has not yet reached India. I am planning to ask her to come couple fo weeks after the scheduled date. I just don't want get my approval and wait for my wife's. Few folks here had that "prmary approved secondary not approved" trouble. I don't think couple weeks matter for our approvals to come together. What do you guys think?

I did not do anythng to trigger second FP. I did call customer service about 3 weeks ago. But I doubt that triggered the FP. The lady asked me to call back in october. FP notice was generated on 09/11/03. My finger prints expired few weeks ago.

Do you know if we can go to any ASC Or only the assigned? Because there another ASC close by thats open on saturdays too.
