Received letter from BCIS

Hi All,

I had called BCIS a month back to check on the status of my I-485 application. The lady whome i spoke to, took all my details and then said that i will be receiving a reply within 4 weeks... which i did. The letter said "We appologize for the delay in the processing of your I-485...." and also it said that "... You will hear from us in 60 to 90 days..."

Has anybody got any similar letter after the status inquiry?... also do they really mean it when they say... "you will hear from us in 60 to 90 days..."?

Any insight would be really appreciated.

Thanks,

luckGC

Standard reply

I would think that it's still the standard reply, because the letter did not mention specifically what was happening to that particular case.

Please reply to the following and it may give some idea about time taken for the 2nd FP cases.

What is the issue date for this status enquiry reply?
When did you contact NCS to ask for status enquiry?
what was your 2nd FP scheduled date?

I beg to disagree, I was told 30 to 60 days and I did get the approval within 60 days. Maybe it was a fluke, maybe it wasn't.

Thanks,

I got the same letter and GOD knows when that 60 days will end.

No letter for me yet

I had called 800 number on 25 th June and was told I will hear from them in mail by 4 weeks. Next week will be close to 4 weeks - hopefully I too will receive something in mail.

I want to beleive that when they told you 60-90 days - you will hear something. Trying to stay positive at the end of another anxious and long waiting day!

Thanks.
