Last week I called INS and found out that my I-485 has been approved. Yesterday I got the original approval copy from my lawyer.
My details are:
Country : India
Type: NIW (EB2)
RECEIPT DATE: NOV. 4, 1999
NOTICE DATE: FEB. 13, 2001
This is the first time I am reporting in this group. Till now I just used to read others posting because I had nothing new to share with this group.
For me this was a long seven years journey to come this point.
My first EB2 application was rejected because my stupied lawyer (from Ann Arbor, MI) made mistakes. She (stupid lawyer) took around $5000 for
my first application. After that I hired two lawyers : one for RIR (EB2) application and another one for NIW (EB2) application. Both of my RIR and NIW
I-140 were approved but I applied I-485 based on my NIW because it has the fexibility to change employer. Also I applied for Canadia GC and got it
to be in safe side. In these whole process I had spent total $15,600.
I think I am one of those hard luck guys. My suggestion to all GC applicants is that always keep your hope high.
In this long seven years journey I had to different family as well as mental tensions. Anyway, I don\'t want to in details in those matters.
Good Luck to all GC applicants.
Bye now,
Hope6
