Received EAD card yesterday.

Approved: 11/4/2000 (Came to know on Automated Voice System)
Card Received: 12/18/2000

EAD got approved 3 days after the expiry of last card. But the renewal is done from the next day of expiry. So there is no gap.

Since you got the EAD card yesterday does it mean you could work once you hear approval notice.Did you do so.Good to hear that there is no gap between the expiry and the renewal.

I applied approximately 5 weeks before the expiry. I heard the approval on the phone and continued working till now. I told my employer to consider those 3 days gap as vacation if EAD had a gap. They said okay. And after the approval, I just called my employer and told them it is approved and I have not received the card. They were fine with that.
