Received Biometrics Today. Need help.

Hi, I got my Biometrics today. Appointment is on August 8, 2005 in Brooklyn, NY, but I want to go before appointment date. Does any body here knows at what time those processing centers opening and what time is better to go there if you go before your appointment date. Because, as I understand they will take your Biometrics only if they have time and not a lot of people who has appointments on that date. Any way please share your experience in this regard. Do they ask you, why you want your Biometrics done earlier? What to do about scheduled appointment if you do your Biometrics earlier. Like do you have to notify NSC or you local USCIS office after you did your Biometrics earlier then scheduled.

Sorry for so many questions. Please answer if you know the answers.

My dates are 05/08/2000, FP 04/01/2004, RFE April 25, 2005. Approval Notice May 31, 2005.

Yes I was approved on May 31, 2005. See my dates. But I had to wait for Biometrics for 60 days, I got it today. Now I want to get done my Biometrics ahead of schedule.
 
Just go there and ask if you can do it. Most probably they will allow it if they are not busy. But New Yorkers are tougher, you know. :)

I did not have problem in Jamaica, Queens.

BTW, it looks that your bio is definitely lost in March-April. This is how tri-state area has the most delay.
 
I was just wondering what should I do with my original appointment in case I complete one earlier. Do I have to notify NSC or my local USCIS office. Or it will be invalid automatically after I did my Biometrics. And I don't have to notify nobody???
If some one knows answer to this question please reply.

Hi, windywd, that may be true, but may be not. Last week when I was anxiously waiting for my BIO letter, I called CIS and reached an IO from NSC. She told me there are different scenarios for sending BIO notices and in some cases, the notice is sent after the GC is approved. That may be the case for Serge16

But last week on July 28, 2005 I had done my FP + my Bio I don't why BCIS want to do another Bio code 3 so I need help if anyone bas been in the same situation.

Douls, I think maybe its a mistake by them. All I can say is just play along. Nothing else you can do. USCIS officers get drunk sometimes and send these stupid notifications when you have already done your FP's and evey CODE 3 was done last year. Just play along and put a smile on your face...Nothing else you can do my friend..USCIS is like a bad big bully who wants everything their way..

I am in a similar situation. I have recieved my approval however no notice for Bio yet. I got my approval on June 15 so hopefully in the next 13 days I should hear something.

Did your online status change when you recieved your bio in mail?
 
No my online status didn't change sins I send them reply to RFE. Status didn't change after they send me approval notice and then after 60 days Biometrics. It stayed the same. You should call them and request case status inquiry. I know in my case when I requested first one NSC send me Biometrics with in one week after that.

Now after I did my Biometrics yesterday my online status changed to "...after approving your application, we ordered you a new card..."
My question is how long it takes to receive actual plastic GC?
 
Hi guys,

I've recently moved (and yes I have called NSC to change my address) and I've been scheduled on 8/19 to get my Bio done at a processing center that's within the jurisdiction of the city where I used to live. Do I have to call NSC to reschedule and change the location or can I just show up at the one closest to where I am now without an appointment? Any suggestions?
