Received Biometrics Notice Finally !!!

Well, folks I finally received the bio appointment notice for May 4TH for code 2. I thought USCIS forgot about me after approving my 485 but glad to receive the mail this afternoon. I even made an infopass appointment for 27TH of this month which I cancelled right after receiving this notice. I don't think I need that now. That was my main intention for the infopass deal is to schedule an appointment for the bio which NSC kept saying they can't find in my file ( Seems like they lost it somehow) allthough I took it back in July 2005.
Anyway thanks to Allmighty God. I was very upset with the entire deal. It was so frustrating cause mostly everyone receives their plastic within a week/two after approval but in my case it's close to two & half months but yet no signs of plastic/LUD change or no activity.
Now that I received that I bet soon after I'll finish this code 2 which is mainly for GC production (Index/photo/signature) USCIS would issue my card & mail it to me soon.
I have noticed in previous posts from member Jubilee who has noticed people often receive the actual plastic from the ASC (Application Support Center) where I'll go for my bio taken. Is that a fact? Anyone has any knowledge on that? If that's the case who knows I might be given my card on that same day. Wow that would be awesome. But even that's not the case I would still be getting it very soon I think. It's hard to expect things from USCIS cause I was so excited after receiving the approval mail thinking my card would be in my mail box within a week or two but that turns out my nightmare hearing my bio is not in my file so card has not been issued.
Feeling much better now. I hope I'm not that far from my plastic.

atique rahman,

I am glad to hear that you finally received your BIO appiontment. Everyone receives his/her plastic card shortly after I-485 approval. I understand your frustration. You have been waiting for you plastic card (gc) for more than two months. Now that you received your BIO appiontment, I hope you will receive your card soon.

While it is not fun to deal with this issue, I think just having to know that your I-485 application got approved is definately a good feeling.

My application just got approved last week, and I am still waiting for my welcome notice and green card. I can tell you that I become much more relax once I got approved.

Cchong, First of all thanks for your response. I agree with you 100% that just knowing your case is approved is very relaxing but trust me you would be really frustrated if you see others getting their plastic within a week or two after approval & you kept waiting close to 90 days but nothing !!!!!!!!!! Besides I was more frustrated cause I already did this same bio code 2 back in July last year. Now if it was like I didn't do that & know that I have to do so that would make some sense but since everything has done as scheduled than why wait again ?????????????
I do pray seriously to God nobody had to go through this what I been through. May God bless all of us & fullfill our dreams.

Congrats Atique. I am happy to hear you got bio appointement! You can finally relax!

Thanks MGTgrl. I think I am trying hard but till I get my plastic on hand I simply can't relax. It's hard to explain but only people can tell this who has gone through this. I have heard many other members kept telling me to relax not to worry much after all my case has been already approved (I sincerely know they have all the good intension to comfort me ) but I know how it feels when things are half way done.
But thanks again for your response. I sure appreciate all your concern my brothers & sisters. I just pray to allmighty God everybody gets their approval & plastic as soon as possible. We all had waited long dark nights already now it's about time to see the sunshine.

Atique,

As I mentioned earlier. I understand your frustration. I have no intention to minimize what have experienced. I know you already did your BIO last year. I was just saying that having to deal with this annoying plastic card issue is a lot better than waiting for the green card approval.

I would not be very happy if I have to go thru what you have gone thru. If I were in your shoes, I might as pissed off and frustrated as your are.

Hey Atique?
Whats up Bro? Not much here, same old stuff as it used to be. No BIO no Nothing. Have you got any LUD change? any Email from CRIS? I am worry now.

THis is my situation now. I have changed my address and filled out the AR-11 and I was going to change my address with Nebraska too, till the Customer Serivce told me you do not have too(Because I told her the old address is my aunts house) and she said dont worry it would be fine. She said If I change my address over there it would take longer that it should take.

Problem is my aunt is on vacation and her brother in law is checking their mails. How can I notice if they have sent me anything? I am checking my freaking LUD every day and no changes from the date I came back from Thailand till now and who knows what is going on.

Nasr, As far I know for bio notice LUD don't change but there may be a possibility that it could change LUD after bio is completed. I have a feeling after bio is done I may get that message sayng your card has been ordered & as soon it's ready we will directly mail it to him or her something like this.
Your approval was Feb 06 if i'm not wrong so May 9th it would be 90 days. Therefore bro you still have couple of more weeks & I have a good feeling you would be receiving something.
When you called USCIS earlier what they notified you? Did they mention anything about bio not in file or things in that nature?
Cuase I called them atleast 10 times before receiving the bio notice & everytime I called they kept saying yes, case got approved but we don't see any bio therefore no plastic has been issued & I kept insisting them sending me a appointment letter for me to get that taken, allthough I finished that last year & I have proof of that but you know how that goes in USCIS. Somewhere or some how that one got misplaced.
I even made an infopass appointment end of this month for to request them to schedule me for a biometrics but as soon I received the bio notice I cancelled that.
I would insist you start calling USCIS inorder to find out what's the deal on this. I know those customer service people can't really tell or know a whole lot more than what you know about your case but if you are lucky to get hold of an immigration officer in Nebraska Service Center where your case has been processed may atleast inform you something.
Good luck.

14ksusha, that's excellent. Yes, ASC is open on Saturday. Well, since yours is this Saturday obviously you'll get the plastic before me cause mine is on May 4th. Also let me know if as member Jubilee & Grassroot mentioned earlier that they have noticed people like us who's case already got approved but due to BIO card wasn't issued receives the plastic at the ASC place.
I really don't know if that's a fact but since you'll be there this Saturday we'll find out soon. I'm looking forward to receive the very good news from you this Saturday. Even they don't give us the card on that same day as Want said it would be 4/5 days after BIO completion we would be getting the plastic. Keep me posted. Good luck.

Probably the guy in NCS said: let us give this guy a hard time dealing with his case.
I will let you guys know if anything happened (Which I doubt it)

Don't worry Nasr, you'll get yours very soon.

Well Atique, THanks for pushing me to call them. Here the story began:
I called USCIS noon time (Pacific time) and then after 15 min. a lady got the phone. Like the way others are, she applied the new phone answering principal to me as well. Very nice and polite. Then she asked for my problem and then she put me on hold which disconnected my phone. I called them again after another 15min. another lady pickuped the phone and told them the same story. She asked have you changed your address since you filed the application. I said yes and she said give me the new address and she asked for the old address and she filed an Inquiery that I have not received my card yet and then she said: within 30 days you will receive something. Damn these poeple are too nice now. Then here is what I have got this morning:

Nasr,
was that in a postal mail or an E-mail ? Well, now just time for you to wait for the BIO appointment. I bet you'll get that very soon max week or two.
I'm telling you brother you'll be getting that soon. I got it so does other member 14ksusha & you are next. 14ksusha will be doing her on this Saturday per her post. I'm waiting to hear from her experience on that day cause I noticed posts from 2/3 months ago by Jubilee & grassroot mentioning something about people like us who's case is already approved receives their plastic on that same day at ASC. I made a new thread asking this question to both Jubilee & grassroot but yet no reply. If that's the case boy that would be really nice. But even though it's not we still should be getting plastic soon hopefully. Good luck with your BIO appointment. Keep me posted.

Good luck with the BIO and 14ksusha, I hope you guys will get this problem resolve soon. Thanks again for the respond.
