hi, my father and I are both deriative asylees and on july 21st we both got emails tell us that the rfi have been sent, but we didn't received them at our old address that's my friend's place. now last week my father's case<not mine case> was updated saying the mail got returned to INS and need him to update his address.
so I called INS today to change our old mailing address to our current address by 1800-375-5283 - 1,2,2,2,2.
when I reach the service rep I forgot to mention about the returned letter to him at first, instead I just told him that I need to change my application address, only after he took some information I started describing my situation and he said after the address is updated wait 30days for the returned or lost notice. if nothing arrived within30 days then call them again.
My question is did I make a mistake by telling the service rep about 'address change' before ' lost letters'? Do I have to call them again just to focus on the lost letter aspect?
