Hi,

My info.

EB2-other
RD 10/19/99
FP 9/12/99 at Newark
RFE 1/25/01 - Employment letter
Approved 2/12/01
Original & Courtesy Approval received 2/20/01

Went to 940 Broad St. Newark to get stamped. They have 3 entrances (front, left, back, looking from broad st.).
My lawyer did not tell me about the entrance in the back was for direct access to room 135 and 136.
You do not need to go to room 334 as written in approval notice. So use the back entrance (I believe on Orchard St.)
for passport
stamping. I had to wait in line (outside) from left entrance to get thru the metal detector. Good thing
it was pretty warm today otherwise this could be very very cold experience.

You should go thru the back entrance, because from left entrance I had to go thru an exit
door to get to room 135/6 and got caught by an officer and she gave me a grief for not
using the back entrance. How the hell should I know?

Anyway, you have to be in line at room 136 and they collect (EAD, AP, I-94, and do your finger print)
and put them all together and staples them and give them back to you with wait number. Then
you walk across the hallway to get to room 135 and wait for your number to be called. You
get stamped and say good bye. The whole process took me 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Around 11:30am there were no line at all in room 136.

I don\'t want to make this a long story, but one thing to check is when your
passport expires. My passport was expiring in 12/31/01 so that is the
date I got for my expiration date on my stamp. Normally they give you
1 year from the date you get stamped. If you don\'t have a year or more
left on your passport, I would get that extended before going there.

She said the card will take 6-12 months. I hope this is not true.
I have seen 2-4 months on this board lately.

Hope this helps,

Hi LoveJesus

Did your letter ask you to go to the Newark center at a particular day and time or the Newark center at any time or any center at any time ?

Thanks

Can anybody tell me what I-89 is that you need to feel out during passport stamping? What type of question do they ask on this form?Congrats and good luck.

Yes.

My approval said I can get stamped on Wednesdays b/w 8am-12pm.
I believe my lawyer said this is the only time you can get stamped.

I-89 is a index fingerprint paper with lots of square boxes which
to fill out your information. However, you do not fill this out.
I believe INS fill this out later when card gets made? Not sure.

All I was asked to do was to
sign at two locations on I-89 and two fingerprints on I-89.
That was all I had to do. They didn\'t ask anything else.

Do bring your approval letter, EADs, advance paroles, and I-94.
They do ask for that, but they weren\'t really checking anything.
Just taking things that you gave them.

Hope this helps.
